Like our ingredients, we prefer the simple pitch
BHUM Is B(h)etter.

Suet is Standard
Almost anyone can take their brisket trimmings, use them for burgers, or render them into tallow. We live by, and even recommend, the 'waste none' philosophy when it comes to our food. However, we feel that feeding our skin something healthier should be the cosmetic standard. That’s why we exclusively use suet to craft our tallow. The difference isn’t just visible—it’s molecular. Truly the superior source of fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, K and E. Packed full of beneficial fatty acids, both omega and non-, our suet is sourced with intention. At BHUM, we exclusively craft our products from this "cosmetic grade" of tallow.
-
Small Farms, Exemplary Values
With over 95% of beef sold in domestic supermarkets coming from non-pastured or grain-fed cattle, finding a trusted farmer may not be an option for you. For us, it’s more than just a responsibility—it's a pleasure. We go to some of these farms 3x a week for [raw] milk either way. All of our suet is sourced from cows that ate grass, from regenerative pasture if possible, their entire life. We prioritize supporting independent, family-run operations and promoting sustainable practices at the most fundamental level.
-
Always Rendered by BHUM
Do us a favor. Later today, if you’re still thinking about us, type ‘4lbs of grass-fed tallow’ into your preferred search engine. What should come up are large-format plastic buckets priced similarly to one of our 2oz jars. You’ve likely seen some of these tallow brands—repackaging cooking fat and marketing it as a miracle cure. Ask about their supply chain, they won’t respond. We exclusively render in-house, meticulously wet-rendering and deodorizing with our version of Michelin-star precision. By doing this, we can directly control the remaining steps of production.
-
Authentic Mānuka (UMF 10+)
Choosing authentic Mānuka for our honey was one of the most difficult decisions we’ve had to make. With plenty of local raw honey available, and countless imposters claiming to be Mānuka already in the tallow industry, educating consumers was going to be an uphill battle. So spare us—let’s cut to the chase. If they don’t provide the Unique Mānuka Factor (UMF), a government-regulated third-party accreditation, or mention methylglyoxal concentration (ours is MGO 263+), chances are you’re being misled.
-
Fractionated, Organic Coconut
Extracting oils from their raw ingredient always requires some form of processing. For our carrier oil, we choose premium, cold-centrifuged, USDA organic fractionated coconut oil. Other products rely on familiar options like olive oil or beeswax for texture adjustments. However, these seemingly beneficial additions are often prone to oxidation and frequently tainted with lower-quality, multi-origin blends with unknown toxins. Instead, we prioritize uncompromising quality by selecting ingredients that consistently exceed the mark.
-
Single Organic Essential Oils
We experimented with dozens of USDA organic essential oils, from bergamot to frankincense, and quickly noticed clear distinctions between brands that claimed similar products. Eventually, we stumbled onto supplier [an industry leader], who sources directly from the farm and third-party tests all oils to ensure premium quality. However, that level of assurance comes at a steep price, one we happily pay. Fortunately for our customers, we do not pass along. Our products always highlight single botanical essential oils—starting with Lavender, Lavandula angustifolia (Bulgaria).
